This is the expanded image for the Walnut bowl.

Walnut bowl This bowl was turned green from salvaged parts of a walnut tree.

The finishing process included multiple submersions in Watco danish oil for days, followed my multiple "wet sanding" with danish oil from 220 to 600 grits.   The purpose for that process was to create successive slurries that would fill and seal the pores in the wood.

It measures 3.25" high by 7.5" in diameter.   After sanding, it was simply waxed and buffed.

It was turned in October, 2004, and remains in my inventory.
