This is the expanded image for the Paulownia bowl.
	This bowl was turned from a "green" Paulownia log section. It measures 4.25" high by 11" in diameter, and only weighs 12 ounces. Finished by wet-sanding with Watco Oil to 600 grit. Because of the remarkably light weight of this wood, I call bowls made from Paulownia my "popcorn series." It was rough-turned in February 2004, finish-turned in October 2004, and given to a relative. Return to the thumbnail images.
